I didn't particularly care for the ending because of the time jump. I don't understand why Ricky/Squirm didn't escape after he had killed the original monster and contact someone. I guess it was supposed to show how innocents can be corrupted and monsters like that can be created from anyone. It just didn't work for me.

I didn't like it either because it seemed farfetched because we didn't have any clue of the timing of the ending.

I actually quite liked the ending, even though it took me completely unawares. Sometimes you can see where a twist came from, but this one was a total blind-sider.

I liked how it ended. The twist of finding out Ricky was Troy was quite clever.

>3 EadieB: >4 Sergeirocks: >5 Olivermagnus: I was still mad at Chris Carter when I wrote my reply this morning but I wish we would have had some clue that the time difference was going to happen. In retrospect I do see it as a clever twist and a great blindside.

I liked the end - I thought it was a very interesting take on this.
>2 Carol420: Ricky did contact someone after he escaped. He was put into a protection program and given a new identity. He then lived normally for a long time trying to help people in situations like his. It was only after he was triggered by the report of his abuse that he changed.
