What was your final rating? Why?

I gave it a 4. I liked the ending and overall the it was a really good story. I wish Cussler would stick with either writing the books himself or with one writer. I think the different writers styles take a few books to get accustomed to and then we have another one. Patterson does the same thing.

I'm ending with a 4. I can't pin down what was missing but something was.

I’ll end with a 4 too. I think they are just using Cussler’s name. I think the co-writer is the real author because the style of the writing keeps changing too much. I think if Cussler was totally involved he would help to make the books flow better.

I’m ending with 3.75 and struggling to decide whether to make it a four star book or a 3.5 Star one.

>4 EadieB: I’d agree I think this is exactly what Cussler and Patterson do!

I can only go to 3.5, because my score up to the end of the previous section was 3.25 and there wasn't enough in the final section to warrant a 0.75 increase. Sorry Mr. Cussler and Mr. Morrison.

I'm ending at 3.5. it was good but not great and didn't make me want to immediately read the next section after finishing the questions.

I did note that Dr Tyler Locke seemed to have a good personality and was well-written. Since this is the main character in Morrison's own series, that gives me hope that the writing in the Oregon series will get better
