Do you think Max will leave Cabrillo and his team?

I thought Max would retire several books ago. He has never been the same after his son died so it wouldn't surprise me at all.

I don't think he will for a few more books at least. at this point, there's no one that he would trust to watch Juan's back as well as he does

Hopefully not, I don’t see the book being the same without him. I think his relationship with Juan is crucial for the books. Personally I don’t think he will.

I think it will depend on how hairy this mission gets. Max isn't getting any younger...

I like the crew just the way they are and would hate to see Max leave.

Unfortunately, Cussler does not seem averse to killing some of his characters off.

I hope he stays but we have so many characters I don't know that I'd remember much later.
