Did you have any initial ideas how the prologue would link in with the main story?

I assumed the Oregon team will become part of a search effort for something related to Henry and Suleiman's time together. Possibly another treasure hunt, (it wasn't until later on that we discovered the real importance of Suleiman to the story).

No, I didn't know where they would go with that.

I figured there would be present day pirates involved in our story for sure.

I knew it was going to be something that would impact the modern day story.

I didn't - like Sergei, I thought maybe a treasure hunt but I think the real link (between the Suleimans) is actually more interesting.

I assumed we would eventually find out what happened next and that somehow it could be linked with the search for something.
