Any other thoughts, comments or questions?

Although this book was a little off, it was not a total disaster and I will still continue with the series. Thank you, Andrew, for the great questions once again! A true master of the questions even came up once again with great questions for another difficult book!

Thanks so much Andrew. It's probably harder to develop questions when it's a mediocre read. I'm hoping it was a fluke and look forward to joining you all with the next book in the series.

Thanks. The next book in the series is now very important. If it repeats the mistakes we may not read on.

I'd like to add my thanks, Andrew, it can't have been easy for this one!

Thanks Andrew and everyone. You all made the book more palatable.
I doubt I'll carry on with the series unless Cassiopeia and Henrik are in the next one.

It looks like Henrik Thorvaldsen is in the next one. If the next one isn't better I don't think you'll be the only one that stops reading them. I would imagine we would stop the group reads.

>7 Andrew-theQM:. I'm glad to know Henrik is back. I'll give the next book a chance.

Another great job, Andrew. Thank you so very much for all your efforts to make these reads enjoyable. Thank you all that participated. Without your individual inputs into the story I really don't think I would have finished this one on my own.

Thanks everyone for your contributions - an interesting book because it was so different to his other books. What happened!

Thanks all for a great group read - too bad it was so painful. (and sorry you were sick for most of it Bb!) Nice job on the questions Andrew - I'm sure this couldn't have been an easy one to work with.

I almost hate to mention this since book 4 was not a winner for us, but I just noted book 11 of the series:
The 14th Colony is part of the Amazon kindle daily deal today (in the US). It's $2.99.
Disclaimer: I don't plan to pick it up as I suspect it won't be a book I'll want to own. :0 How sad!
If I make it to book 11, I'll likely just borrow from the library.

I got that book for $.50 at a library sale.

>13 EadieB: So Eadie, a while since we had an update. How many books do you think you own at the moment?

>14 Andrew-theQM:
Hard to say at the moment. Next Wednesday I was thinking about taking an inventory because I have lost track of the count when my program lost space. I'll let you know after I finish my inventory. I had 7,443 books at the time but some I have gotten rid of and some more were purchased, so I really don't know. My program said the worth of my books was over $18,000.00. I suppose that is the original cost of them but I only pay .25, .50, 1.00 or at the most 3.00 for a book.

That would take away from my reading time and a lot of them I want to read. I may go through them on Wednesday and only put the ones back on the shelf that I definitely will read and get rid of the ones I don't have shelf room for.

>19 EadieB: I've started storing mine in the garage...lol. A box that holds a case of copy paper holds, on average, 43 paperbacks (mass market size). I have somewhere around 75 boxes in my overflow. That doesn't count the hardcovers, the cookbooks, the craft books or odd sized paperbacks...or the books I actually have shelved or the ones I have in digital format only...sigh

My name is Brenda...I am a book hoarder... 😍👍

I feel a bit of a fraud, I have only got about 1000 books - physical and kindle. Tend to pass books to charity shops or onto other people once I have read them, unless I definitely want to read them again, and pick up a lot of books from the library.

It may be a problem that we have so many book but I think it's not a bad problem!

23Andrew-theQM

It's definitely not a problem! Why shouldn't you collect what you love. If you couldn't afford them then it would be a problem. 😊

I actually have sold some of my books that are in new condition on the site that we don't like to mention here and I have made over $2,000.00 which I'm sure has covered the amount that I spent buying them all.

>24 EadieB: Well it most definitely isn't a problem then, quite the opposite. 😊

This would be something I would do if I had the time, definitely money that could be made in that field looking at the costs for used books online.

It is a win-win situation when you can make money and have books to read at the same time. lol
