How could you initially explain Dorothea and Christl bound and gagged by the altar?

The men that were sent to kill Cotton and Christie found all of them together and took advantage of it.

At first I thought it was a ruse to capture Cotton. Then I realized they were captured by the men looking for Cotton.

Isabel had told Ramsey where to find Cotton, so it wasn't a big jump to assume Ramsey's men had got there first and used the women as hostages to flush Cotton out.

I figured like Sergei that the men who were suppose to kill Cotten tied up Dorothea and Christl.

It looked as though the girls were captured as bait for Cotton!

I agree, I thought they were bait to get Cotton.

I thought it was a setup and that Ramsey's men were using them as bait
