Were you surprised how little information the Missing Persons Unit had?

Not at all. This killer is no dummy nor is it his first time at doing this.

No because Jenny had nobody in the area so she wouldn't have been reported 'missing'.

It did seem to take an awful long time for any info to show up in their data base. Not a very adequate system.

A very poor system, and didn't seem to want to help.

You wouldn't be in there unless someone reported you to be 'missing'.

No. the missing persons unit only gets information once someone is reported as being missing.

no. If she wasn't reported previously, no reason to open a case. I also don't think the police consider someone missing until it's been a day or two so that they can determine that they didn't just run away or leave. I believe, the only people that are immediately considered missing are the "at risk" - e.g. children, seniors with dementia, etc

>8 bhabeck: That's right Brenda. Amber Alert goes out immediately for any child and immediate notification of TV and radio stations for seniors at risk. Departments in Florida had just started doing tis when my husband retired in 2002.

No one was going to report her missing. D-King wasn't going to, that would draw too much attention and since she didn't have close friends and no near family, who was going to miss her?
