Did you think Ndebele would help Cabrillo? Was it right to ask this of his men?

yes - I think he would want to in part as repayment for saving his life. He was also right in putting it to a vote after explaining it to his men

These people want freedom and would fight with anyone that offers them any hope. Ndebele does owe Juan and so do his men by association.
