I'm mathgirl40, which is also my userid on BookCrossing. I'm taking over as group administrator from BoekenTrol71, who did an admirable job of initiating the group in 2014 and continuing it in 2015.

I've been a BookCrosser since 2010 and a LibraryThing member since 2009. I enjoy participating in book boxes and wishlist tag games, which is why I have to work on my ever expanding MTBR. I love mystery, science fiction and fantasy. I also enjoy more "literary" works and I eagerly browse the book awards shortlists every year.

Welcome to the group and please write a few words to introduce yourself!

I'm SqueakyChu on BookCrossing and on LibraryThing and Madeline in RL. I have been an avid BookCrosser since 2003. I am an active member of BCinDC, the local Washington, DC, area BookCrossing group. I am also steward of the Little Free Library of Twinbrook (#7720) which is an Official BookCrossing Zone.

I don't have that many ABC (already been crossed) books, but I should really read and release those that I do have. I'll try to do a few of those in 2016.

Good luck with this challenge, everyone!

over-the-moon on bookcrossing; I joined up as swisswitch in 2003 then changed to silentmiaouw then again to over-the-moon because I was overthemoon on flickr and LT and I just wanted to harmonize things.

Only 4 BC books on Mt TBR but my goal will be to read and release them all in 2016.

Happy to join you.

I'm gypsysmom here and on BookCrossing. I joined BookCrossing in 2005 thinking it would be a good way to get rid of the books on my bookshelves. I did get rid of those books but I now have more than I started with, around 200 unread. I joined LT in 2011 because I read a lot of books from the library and I didn't have any way to keep track of my thoughts on them. Until last year I mostly just added my reviews and looked at some of the group postings but now I am retired and I have started to contribute more.

>5 gypsysmom: Haha! I also started collecting more books than I ever thought possible after I joined Bookcrossing to get rid of books. Joining Librarything didn't help either!

I'm NancyNova on bookcrossing and LT. I joined BC in 2007 and LT in 2013 (when there was an uproar over goodreads and amazon). I never did much on goodreads though.

For better or worse, I found bookboxes, rabcks and wishlists on BC, plus after moving form Florida to the Phila area, I found book sales and book crossing zones. The book stash expanded exponentially. I've also found early reviewers on LT (not to mention freebies and cheap books on Kindle), which also increases book volume.

I have (gulp) about 300 books registered by others that are not romances - from bookboxes, rings and rabcks. I haven't been as successful with turning them around in 2015.

I'm down to ~200 romance books registered by others. Most have come from bookboxes from a few bookcrossers. I've had more success with making a dent in this stash in 2015.

I'll need to see what I can match up with the 300 ABC TBR books for reading challenges (and releasing challenges), so I can move more of these along in 2016.

>8 nancynova: Glad to see you back! I know what you mean about the book stash expanding exponentially. This happened to me too, after joining BC and LT a number of years ago.
