Perhaps I'm just having a bad day, but I can't for the life of me remember how to find the Series and Publisher Series section of LT . . . Is there any way to get to it other than to think of a book that is a part of a series? It should be easier to find than that . . . (ditto for Publisher Series).

A site search using those terms was not helpful. Even the Wiki information on Series does not provide an example to link someone to such a creature . . .

Your series can be found here: http://www.librarything.com/profile/LucindaLibri/stats/series

To do that yourself, go to either your home or profile page. Click on Statistics/Memes at the top of the page. Down the lift hand side look for Common Knowledge, and under that click on Series.

Thanks, that's a help, but I was more interested in browsing other series(es?), including some publisher's series, that are not part of my library. Sounds like this is another one of LTs many "broken and never to be fixed features" :(

It can't be broken, because I don't think that feature ever existed. AFAIK there's never been list of all series or publisher series on LT.

There are the CK "clouds" where you can browse the most populated series:
http://www.librarything.com/commonknowledge/clouds.php

Nothing there for publisher series, that I can see.

There's also a list of recently added series here, but that only goes back a few days:
http://www.librarything.com/series

The navigation at the top of a series page implies that there COULD be a link . . . but it is blacked out . . .
So, for example:
Common Knowledge > Series > Kay Scarpetta
You can go to the Common Knowledge page, but not the Series page . . .
There should be one.

In fact, the Common Knowlege page says:
http://www.librarything.com/commonknowledge/
"Browse the data hierarchy"
and
"Browse all of the information within Common Knowledge using the links on this page."
The list of possible browseable items includes "Series"
but the "links" are not active and at the bottom of the page it says:
"Data browsing has been temporarily disabled. A new, more interactive version will return soon."

Anyone know when that note was added and if/when "soon" will be?

All the CK pages are like that. In other words, it's the same thing when you click on an award, a person, or a place (no clickable link for ALL of those items).

CK browsing has been turned off ever since before I became a member. Maybe even before you were! :D

I wouldn't look for it to re-appear anytime soon, if I had to guess.

Oddly enough, this brings up a short list of recently created items:
http://www.librarything.com/series/

Doesn't work for other CK fields, though.

Then I guess the question is . . . when will someone update the CK page?
I find Talk references to: "Data browsing has been temporarily disabled. A new, more interactive version will return soon." at least back to 2010 . . . with no replies indicating that it is in the loop to be fixed and/or who is in charge of the CK page.

Sorry, but these are the aspects of LT that I find infuriating. Someone needs to be in charge of checking the main site sections for errors and incredibly out-of-date promises and fixing them . . . So many parts of the site seem to be half-created "features" that don't actually work . . .
