As mentioned in the group description, I latched onto the topic by means of a book passed on to me. The book wasn't that great, but spoke of an idea I really could connect to. The Finding of the Third Eye, by Vera Stanley Alder. Since then, I have used the "Third Eye" reference to really sink deep into the world of parapsychology.. but there are a lot of struggles to face with such an obscure and mysterious study.

The truth is that I have a lot more than just a book discovery to blame. Due to poor parental supervision, I somehow ended up spending the night at a strange house in the middle of a séance at only 4 years of age. An incident occurred and since then, I've been seeing the dark figure of a tall man with ruby red eyes everywhere I go. There's a lot more to my story, but I feel like this is sufficient for now. Maybe I'll go into it another day, haha.

I have very strange beliefs and occurrences resulting from this life-changing event and hope to one day figure out what's really going on around me.

For more general information, you can check my profile here on LibraryThing. n_n;

Thats all for now~ I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you!

I've seen various things over the past ~25 years I've been alive that I know science can't explain. When I was about five I remember being in my parents' bed after a nightmare, the room dark, and seeing a man, an all black figure, with an outline that looked like an individual wearing a fedora and trench coat, walking around the room near the windows facing the street. When I told my parents about this later, they said it must have been some sort of a reflection from someone on the street, but this is physically impossible as the view of the sidewalk was and is obscured by trees and bushes. I've heard of similar sightings of what people call "Shadow Men" but haven't seen any since.

I was 10 when I was told about strange things happening in my grandparents' house in Brooklyn. I then read everything I could borrow from our branch library on this subject, and have never lost interest in this subject. Coincidentally, I worked in Amityville, NY, when the events of the so-called 'horror' did NOT occur, and learned about it (as a hoax) from first hand witnesses when it was merely local rumor. Other related experiences through my 20s convinced me that something interesting and potentially meaningful is definitely happening, but what?

Being of a critical and discerning nature, I determined myself to seek rational explanations, based on evidence rather than anecdotal experience. It was through ghost hunting (parapsychological field investigation) that I found it: E.V.P. In the past ten years, I have studied and explored every possible area suggestive of mental activity outside the boundaries of spacetime, including extensive training in mental mediumship, remote viewing, field investigation, and physical phenomena and theology. My library of more than 12,000 volumes focuses on addressing two questions, "whence came we?" and "what came we here to do?"

I am deeply irritated by materialism's deliberate ignorance and chastisement of the evidence from parapsychology and the original work of twelve Nobel laureates in science, as well as two remarkably prominent modern scientists, Robert Jahn (a Princeton Rocket Scientist!), and Eben Alexander (a Harvard Brain Surgeon!). More appalling than materialism however is religion's similar indifference (strange bedfellows, indeed!) to what should be hard scientific evidence that informs religion of its essential correctness, albeit doctrinal fallacy. I will start another discussion group "Science & Religion".

Almost daily I'll have visions of the future that last no more than 3 seconds, and I barely remember having them until the moment happens. My mother has the exact same thing. I haven't proved this to be concrete but I have reason to believe I possess aerokinesis.
