While I was reading this book, I could not help but laugh. This book brought back many memories from when I was young, getting yelled at by my parents to clean my room and that "Just throwing them in the closet does not mean it is clean!!". I also found the illustrations very intriguing. It is almost as if the randomness and messy lines showcased how messy the room was. This would make a wonderful writing model, as it is a list and uses different sentence structures. I love this book! ( )

This book is really playful and goofy, but it is something that will surely grab children's attention. There is some insanely relatable things for kids to resinate with. It is can work as a sort of motivation for kids to actually way to cleans their room. Books like this make boring activities like cleaning your room exciting. ( )

The tongue-in-cheek humor will appeal to elementary students. The pen-and-ink and watercolor illustrations crackle with vitality, but the exuberant cross-hatching may make it hard for larger classes to really see the pictures clearly. ( )

Cute book. It was not at all what I expected. I was browsing ebooks from my library and saw this. I assumed it was geared towards tween, with advice on how to tackle cleaning a room. But it is a picture book, geared towards the early grades and it is FUNNY. This book is very funny and simple. It explains the exact opposite of the title. The little girl in the book just pushes everything under her bed instead of actually cleaning her room. I probably wound not read it to my students because there is no lesson taught in this book. ( )

A deceitful little girl is demanded by her mom to clean her room! She mentions that her rook is very clean, but her mom tells her to go clean it! She says to wait until your mom hollers twice yelling all three of your names then when you go up to clean your room, dump everything out, separate it, throw things in the closet or under the bed, poor spoiled milk in the hamper, etc. The pictures (even the clean room) are awfully messy. For a book on how to clean, the illustrations are not neat and clean. This is not a book that I would reccommend to children on how to clean their room because the little girl does everything wrong and it can give the wrong idea to children. ( )

A hilarious step by step book on how to "clean" your room. She has a lot of spunk and can be very decitful. She loves to push buttons and test boundaries, but has a very good spirit.
