I grew up in a house with books. My baby sister, when giving a child up for adoption had requested just _one_thing of the organization that took her baby into a silence that would never break for my sister, that the parents had libraries as vast as the walls of their homes, the way her childhood home had been.
Piles -- I should start giving them away. Damn, I hate Amazon and all the electronic books I can't loan.
