I've long loved crime novels and began with Conan-Doyle, Rendell and Francis when I was a child, so a lot of my library is crime. Like much of the sentient world I love Henning Mankell's Wallander novels, and that I've been led to reading some other great Scandanavian writers.
I love fantasy/far-fetched novels of the Fforde, Rankin and Holt type. I'm not much for fairies and intergalactic elves though.
I also really enjoy reading experimental fiction and am trying to expand my collection in this direction.
My non-fiction interests are broadly: fashion, culture, health, sociology, history, France, America, architecture, cookery, religion, and transport.

I live in the UK. I could've probably bought a house and several cars by now the amount I've spent on books (and library fines). I've concluded it's an incurable addiction since I spent 5 1/2 years selling them, and spent most of what I did earn on taking the stock home.
I love cooking, music hall/vaudeville/burlesque influenced performance, writing, walking, photography and buying old cameras, makeup, retro fashion and scent.
