The books in my favorites are books that I've rated either 4 or 5 stars on Goodreads and ones I've highly recommended to other readers.

I'm an avid reader (I read over 220 books in 2021) and I used to work in a library ordering new books, so I often was able to check out brand new titles first. I love recommending great books I've read, and I've been known to make recommendations in the middle of the Target book aisle. I've also been known to lose track of time discussing amazing books with friends and acquaintances (and in the case of Target, with complete strangers).

I am taking courses online and I'm currently in my third year of child and adolescent psychology. Therefore, I enjoy a good psychological thriller over which I can exclaim "Hey I know what they're talking about" or "wait! That's not possible!" or "That's not a real diagnosis!" Ha!

I am also working full time at an elementary school where I work as a positive behavior technician with students with behaviors resulting from a mental illness or disorder. I love my job and I am exactly where I'm supposed to be in the moment in time. I also couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with on a daily basis. Over the last few decades, I've held numerous positions in a variety of fields, including furniture upholsterer, laundry mangler & folder, payroll specialist, daycare provider, and bookmobile librarian. All of the positions I've held have prepared me for where I am now, and where I plan to be when I obtain my psychology degree.
