Susan's latest book is called: I Was a Stranger-Reflections From First-Time Visits to 50 Churches. Through the primary election season and into the first few months of the Covid-19 pandemic, she visited various Christian churches and shared her experiences in this book. It's an eye-opening look at the differences in worship styles and beliefs. It's also an important and interesting read for anyone who plans or participates in worship, or those who want to learn more about the Christian faith.

Susan I. Spieth is the author of the Gray Girl Series, 4 realistic fictional books drawn from her four years as a West Point cadet in the early 1980's when women were new to the service academies. Jan Wishart is both heroine and troublemaker. She and her friends sometimes create their own dilemmas but mostly solve the larger issues they face while at West Point.
Susan also published a non-fiction book called: I Was a Stranger: Reflections From First-time Visits to 50 Churches.

She grew up in New Hampshire and was appointed to attend West Point in 1981. She graduated and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1985. After serving five years in the Army as a Missile Maintenance Officer, she earned a Master of Divinity degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in 1994. She served five churches as Pastor/Associate Pastor for seventeen years. Susan and her husband have two adult children.
