Sobre mi biblioteca
I love to read and reread the classics: Anna Karenina, Great Expectations, The Great Gatsby, as well as books by Alice Hoffman, Caroline Leavitt, Anne Tyler, and other contemporary authors.
Sobre mí
I teach writing at UCLA Extension. Like Miriam Kaminsky, the heroine of Kaylee's Ghost, I am a phone psychic who lives in Great Neck, N.Y. Articles have been written about my psychic gift in such places as Redbook, The Jerusalem Post, the Dutch Magazine, TV GID, and the Long Island section of the New York Times. I've chronicled her own psychic experiences in Newsweek (My Turn), and The New York Times (Lives) which can be read on my website at http://rochellejewelshapiro.com.
My first novel, Miriam the Medium (Simon & Schuster) was also published in Belgium, Holland, and the U.K. and was nominated for the Harold U. Ribelow Award and appeared on the summer reading list of The Hartford Courant.
My new novel, Kaylee's Ghost, is getting five-star amazon reviews and has been described by Kirkus as "an intriguing mix of family drama and contemporary fantasy."
