I read about 80% fiction and 20% non-fiction. When I was a kid I read 100% science fiction, but as I've grown older I've mixed in a number of other genres, but SF is still my first love. I loved Asimov, Clark, and Van Vogt as a kid, but Asimov was my favorite.

I am a former biotechnology executive and author of the New York Times and USA Today bestseller WIRED, and its sequel, AMPED. I have also written science fiction thrillers for kids 8-14, as well as numberous articles for National Geographic KIDS magazine and American Fencing Magazine. I have a wife of 18 years, a boy and a girl, and two dogs.
