I'm a picky reader. The books I love, I love intensely.

I've included books that I read and didn't like, as that's worth discussing too. Isn't it?

I'm trying to read more fiction, as my diet tends to be poetry and non-fiction.

Right Brain: I have an MFA (1995) in writing from Sarah Lawrence College and am published in American Literary Review, Prairie Schooner, Beloit Poetry Journal, New Letters, Italian Americana, and Glimmer Train, among others. I've received poetry and short story prizes from American Literary Review, the Center of Texas Studies, and the Glimmer Train. All this has been sooooo long ago. I'm trying to begin writing again after an long absence (See "Left Brain" below.) I am proficient at reading Latin but have significant troubles figuring out how to check my voice mail messages.

I have a wonderful husband, 3 dogs, 2 cats and 5 koi. The first six answer to their names.
