I enjoy reading history (recent read--SPQR), travel memoirs, historical fiction (recent read--Conspirata, about the Roman senator Cicero), and science fiction (recent purchases--The Peripheral by William Gibson, and Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson.

I'm a retired English teacher and author living in northern British Columbia. I'm also a trustee for my local public library. I've recently completed my second book and am readying it for publication. When I'm not reading or writing, I can be found playing bridge, cooking, or at the piano.
