Bienvenue! (Welcome!) to the Alliance Française de Dallas library, your gateway to the French language and culture

With about 5,000 books, the Alliance Française de Dallas library is a wonderful resource for French-learners and native French-speakers alike in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The library offers books for all ages.

Only AF Dallas students and members can check out materials from the library. Membership is open to anyone interested in the French language, for more info, visit our webpage Membership.

The library is open Monday to Thursday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, on Friday from 9:30 am and 1:30 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The Alliance Française de Dallas is a dynamic educational and cultural 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to promote the French language and Francophone cultures throughout Dallas-Fort Worth area. Incorporated in Texas in 1972, the Alliance is one of the many Alliances Françaises across the globe — 832 in 131 countries, and 105 in the USA alone, as of 2021.

At AF Dallas, we offer French language classes for all ages and levels taught by native and certified French instructors. We are the only testing center in Texas offering official certifications such as DELF and TEF taken by those who wish to study abroad or pursue professional goals.

We also participate and host various French related cultural activities to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, such as concerts, book clubs, lectures, movie screenings, wine tastings, cooking classes, and immersive workshops.

Whether you are a native or fluent French speaker, a student of the language, or an interested non-French speaker, we encourage EVERYONE in the North Texas community to participate in our wide range of French classes and cultural activities offered throughout the year!
