Full disclosure: the author just stayed with me as a Couch Surfing guest and gave me a copy of his book Go Now! He even inscribed my copy. That said, one he and his traveling companion left for the next stage of their journey, I picked up the book and read it cover to cover, foregoing all other tasks I had planned for the day. The book is part memoir, part travel advice, and thoroughly enjoyable. I recommend this book to all and sundry, whether you're an experienced traveler or just dream of traveling. Not all of the author's adventures had happy outcomes, but most did--most likely because of his open acceptance of the vagaries of life, especially when one is, say left marooned on a tropical paradise during a world-wide pandemic.
