How do I start this....this book it's definitely different from other books that I have read. It started off quite interesting, I enjoyed the dynamics and interactions between Izzy and Dave. Their friendship is definitely different and unique, and does beg the question.... has Dave ever fallen in love with Izzy before?

I would have loved to know Izzy's background story, but I guess we are left with questions to fill in the blanks. About half way through the book I kind of got bored as it was pretty much talking about the same thing over and over again (pretty much Dave "falling in love" with a woman, feels restless, breaks her heart, and repeat). It wasn't until the last 1/4 of the book that caught my interest again, where there were significant changes and profound enlightenment.

Don't get me wrong there are definitely good parts, like the humour and the incorporate of songs in this book. There is also depth to propel Dave to be more than just a womaniser. And it's pretty insightful into a different kind of relationship.

Overall, it was a fairly decent read, albeit not my cup of tea.… (más)
