It's absolutely beautiful with its manga-style illustrations and an utterly beguiling way to spend an hour off over dinner while editing your book - I'm still thinking about it now and I read it last night. It's this very dark, very gorgeous little thing, rather like Claudia herself.

But it's worth pointing out it doesn't really add any new information if you're already familiar with Interview with the Vampire. Rather, like the other graphic novels, it adapts the story to a new medium. It's the events of that book, drawn from Claudia's perspective, and it never really deviates from canon in any way - so if you're looking for that you'll be disappointed.

Within the pages of this graphic novel lies a portion of the story told within Interview with the Vampire, but from young Claudia's perspective. She may have only graced the Vampire Chronicles series briefly, but her tale is highly intriguing and utterly unique. She personifies the eternal youth of vampire kind in a way in which no other vampire - not even the cherubic Armand - can contend with, so her struggle to come to terms with her immortality is all the more pronounced because of her youthful countenance. Witter's beautiful rendition of Claudia's life (or afterlife of sorts) is sure to please readers, as we see her two beautiful and flawed fathers from Claudia's perspective as well as get an eye-full of wonderful artwork which walks the borders of the film version's Tom Cruise and a reader's own interpretation of characters and places.… (más)

Interview with the Vampire told from Claudia's POV, and only during her "lifetime" in the book. Illustrated in a beautiful manga style.

I really liked this book and it just might lead me to reread my entire Anne Rice Lestat collection. This was a graphic novel with delightful artwork. I loved that Armand was now young and light haired. It always bothered me that a 17 year old red-head was played by a black haired man who was so obviously not anywhere close to 17. Claudia so tiny and so lethal.
