Marcus Winslow

Great book by nephew of James Dean who spent his early years with Dean on the farm in Indiana. Winslow's parents' raised Dean after the death of his mother. The book provides a lot of insight into Dean's early years but more interesting is what the family went through after Dean's death, i.e. people coming to the house to see where Dean was raised, even Bob Dylan showing up in the middle of the night. Winslow's parents were very trusting to let these folks in their home and Winslow is to some point as well. The family had to fight Warner Brothers for the rights to Dean's photos. I found the discussion of what life was like in a small town and running a farm to be most interesting.… (más)
