She previously taught Autism Studies at the University of Birmingham (2007-12) and was Senior Lecturer in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Sunderland (2002-07). Bipolar disorders are different in children than in adults. There are some diagnostic criteria unique to children. Some reckless behavior is limited by being a child and being under adult control. Families and communities pay a heavy toll when this disorder is not recognized and treated. Detailed guide to Tourette's giving information about diagnosis, related conditions, therapies and interventions and support for families. The book is a bit dated (2001) but still offers useful information.
