Great commentary on how in modern society we revere scientists and science and elevate them to the level of high priests and expect them to predict the future and define our moral compass for us. Other books that are related to this subject matter are Zeller's "Prophets and Protons," Gardner's, "Future Babble," and Harrison's, "The Territories of Science and Religion." You might want to also check out Ralph Lapp's, "The New Priesthood," as well if this subject interests you.
