E. E. van der Voo

«Vergeet het polderland niet» is a selection if the articles of E.E. van der Voo published to commemorate the author. His main occupation was steward of the Castle Huis te Linschoten. However, Van Der Voo has made name as a botanist collaborating on and co-authoring several important books on the flora of the Netherlands together with the eminent Dutch botanist Viktor Westhoff. Their joint effort established the basis for plant sociology and the description of the vegetation of the majo landscapes in the Netherlands.

These articles are published between the early 1950s to 1970s. However, as essays about natural history they have a timeless quality. Each article describes the landscape, characteristic features, the geology, flora and fauna, with particular interest in ornithology. Richly illustrated with B/W photographs.… (más)
