For the serious academic film viewer only, The Gus Van Sant Touch by Justin Vicari offers an in-depth review of Van Sant's most famous films including My Own Private Idaho, Milk, Good Will Hunting and Elephant. Being a fan of van Sant's work I found this book more than a bit esoteric and quite pretentious. I was disappointed in it and would not recommend it to anyone.
