I am so torn with this book. I enjoyed the story, but it was really hard to not equate Julian as a predator and see Kaelyn as a victim, given their positions. You can still see the victim in her the whole time she is with Julian. Every move Kaelyn makes is based on her insecurities. I would have liked to have seen character growth in her and also in Julian.

It was well written and there was some good, honest frank dialogue but I found the initial split hard to accept as reasonable.
She won't discuss the events at all.
He is supposed to be the love of her life. I couldn't understand how after their history together she wouldn't have had an honest conversation with him to see what actually happened, then decide what to believe.
Then even if he had cheated decide if they meant that much to you if you can work through it, I am not judging whether to forgive or not but at least give it some thought.
I know there are reasons why she doesn't do this but it seemed unrealistic to me.
They are both intimate with other people during their time apart though they are 'soul mates', make of that what you will.
I have marked it as cheating as the accusation is the reason for the breakup.… (más)
