Some of the crafts are kind of cute, some seem old ladyish. All the crafts need adult supervision (some more than others), and trips to the art supply store. I can't say that this book is very useful for kids, but maybe for a mom who wants to supervise crafts with a group of older (10 and above) kids.

This is a collection of designs celebrating various occasions during the year, some of them traditional, and others probably unique to this book. May, for example, includes a flower of the month, Mother's Day and World Trade Week. Most of the designs are a variety of pictures, wall-hangings, linens, plastic canvas figurines, etc. The Pedlar Bear for World Trade Week is a costume for a teddy-bear.

The pieces are created by a number of designers. It is somewhat hard to review the designs, since this is so much a matter of taste. They tend to be very detailed and traditional in style, but varied within those parameters.

This collection of 55 afghans is inspired by traditional quilt blocks in many cases, so if you are a crocheter and don't want to learn to sew, you can complete afghans that have the same design as traditional quilts. All quilts are pictured in full color, with complete instructions for stitching rows and in some cases, with diagrams for assembly. An excellent book for the experienced crocheter.

Another one of those decorating books that i don't think offers much practical advise and alot of pictures (i'm not even that found of the pictures). And i definitely have to question the idea of arranging books by colour--though it has been done--just a little hard to find the one you're looking for when you have over 3000...

I love this book, and it is one of my favorite books in my library of hundreds of cookbooks. The reason I love it so much is that the team at Vanessa-Ann creatively presents cookie decorating.

Simply stated, this is a wonderful book with cookie recipes and designs for cake decorators. From little people dressed in cute clothing to shining suns on your table, this book presents wonderful designs you can eat.

I've used and adapted the patterns of the designs in this book for many years, and I always get rave reviews whenever I bring a batch of cookies.

I'm not so keen on the cookie recipes, but I also haven't tried them all.

It is absolutely amazing to me that you can purchase this book for .01 on Amazon, and no one I know has ever heard of this book. Run, don't walk and grab yourself a copy for your library and one for a friend before the book isn't available any longer. It is truly eye candy for creative food people.
