Interesting book. This book is full of facts and interesting tidbits of information surrounding the ideas contained in and the early events of Royal arch masonry. It is however, not very well organized, and not very comprehensive. It seems like an effort to capture as much information as possible from the Archives (in Iowa State Masonic Library) on Royal Arch Masonry without much synthesis. This book contains glimpses of the philosophy behind the ritual from various failed and current Royal Arch degrees. It talks of the early degrees and ritual in Europe as well as the new world and how they came to be today's Capitular degrees. So, well worth having as a resources, but someone still needs to do a more general, more synthesized work on Royal Arch Masonry.… (más)
