This is a simple book with a single humorous statement on one side and the response "Ok, Boomer" on the opposite page. Some are funny (e.g., fuzzy toilet-seat covers; Olive Garden; cruises); lots miss the mark as especially Boomer-ish (e.g., going to the post office). Too many poke fun at Boomers' ineptitude with new technology or inability to keep up with the dizzying pace of technological advances and social media trends. It's not totally wrong--yes, Facebook now tends to appeal more to Boomers than to other generations; yes, Boomers are more likely to order from catalogs than those of younger generations--it just isn't funny enough to warrant a book, even a little throw-away like this one.

Overall, I got a kick out of some pages, but when it comes to the whole "Ok, Boomer" line, I cringe at the implied ageism. Am I being humorless? Considering that the term is usually used in a belittling and dismissive manner, no--and it's not like I haven't gotten frustrated many times with the "Boomer-ishness" of the Boomers I know. The fact of the matter is one day we'll all be there with the cluelessness and resistance to change--at least many of us will be; the most enthusiastic, earliest adopter of new technology I've ever met was actually someone in the Silent Generation.
