- Biografía breve
- Anne-Sophie Tiberghien was born and raised in Rabat, Morocco, then a French colonial possession. She studied to be a social worker, but found the work too constricting. She spent 10 years traveling and hitchhiking around the world, accompanied by her young daughter Samantha. They went to France after Anne-Sophie was seriously injured by a poisoned arrow during intertribal war among the Yanomami Indians of the Venezualan Amazon. During her convalescence, she wrote two volumes of autobiography, Mon cœur s’appelle Amazonie (My Heart is Called Amazon) and Comme un chat sausage (Like a Wild Cat). She produced a documentary film, On the Trail of the Gypsies: The Roads of Central Europe, and wrote the book, Tzigane mon ami (Gypsy My Friend). Her other adventures include trips to Tunisia and Libya.
