4135 State Houses America's 50 State Capitol Buildings, by Susan W. Thrane [&] Tom Patterson (read 26 Feb 2006) This is a coffee table book, but I read it straight through with a lot of enjoyment. The picutres are well done, and their is an exterior view of every State capitol. Iowa's in 1947 was described by a Life writer as one of the two ugliest in the nation--but he was and is wrong, I think.
