This was the vibration analysis book for the UCSB engineering curriculum in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Most of this stuff is done nowadays with FEA software so unless you're writing the FEA software yourself, there is little reason to know vibration analysis to the level of mathematical detail that is in this book.
