I really enjoyed this! I am impressed with the amount of research the author must have done for this book. I loved all the characters and am a sucker for a plain, awkward spinster pining for a brooding, scarred hero. The premise is a favorite, and I really liked the sex scene at the end! We only get the one, but it is sweet and steamy, between two virgins. Refreshing change of pace. Only one complaint: there was not enough time spent on the budding romance between the MCs; indeed, it doesn't really begin until at least halfway through the book. There is a lot going on and I enjoyed the subplots, but would have liked to see a bit more romantic tension built. Now that I think of it, did they ever say "I love you"??

The end of the ebook has excerpts from future books, but the website link appears broken; I am sadly thinking neither book is forthcoming :(
