"Chagall, the Recycling Dragon" comes from thirty years of working in the solid waste industry. Marty Strauss has published two [other] books. "Ice to Fire", is historical fiction about a South East Alaska Native fishing village, and "Tale of the Golden Whale" is the story of the search for mineral wealth off the North Coast of Alaska.

"Chagall, the Recycling Dragon", is about a young dragon, only 300-years old, who lives in a canyon near a village. His home is threatened by piles of garbage being dumped into his home. He needs to find a solution to his problem that will not force him to move to a new home. Chagall is a fun look at the recycling process through the eyes of a dragon including examples on where your sorted materials go after they are collected, with a twist.
