This book really does need to be read by everybody (that can read) who lives in Southeast Asia, for starters, and then by the rest of the world at large. Although this book has its share of problems, they pale in comparison to what gangsters like Taib and his family are doing to not only Malaysia, but the world as well. I was amused, as I always am, by several comments from his family as well as himself scattered throughout the book. Those of wealth seem to believe that they have a privileged status which is coincidental with knowledge. More than likely, the entire family is dumber than a doorknob. The ability to make money (especially through graft) does not represent any sort of brain power. As a friend once said to me, "Making money is one of the easiest things to do in the world. Making money illegally is even easier." (Danny Battles) This is proven over and over and over again every day around the world. For Taib and his family to believe as they do that they have some special gift is absurd. They are criminals with a criminal mind and should be treated as such. Someday malaysia will wake up. I was there recently and I don't think it'll happen anytime soon, but then the country has only been around for 50+ years. No reason to think it'll be around for another 50+ with the way it is run . kids in a sandbox could do better....Read the book and prepare to be depressed.… (más)
