Excellent introduction to knitting. It really is the very basics. In fact, there was a second book that went on to slightly more advanced work which would be lovely to find. This one goes over casting on, binding off, basic increases and decreases - generally many things that you need to know from the very beginning. It includes some patterns for very simple projects - hats, scarves, baby blankets.
