Jason Stellman, raised in the Southern California evangelical Christian congregations emphasizing being ready for the Rapture, rejecting secular music, and demonizing other denominations and faiths, and so on. A black and white version of Christianity. As a Protestant pastor, he worked in the States and Europe. His religious house of cards tumbled down, but instead of ridiculizing all things Christian or turning to atheism or agnosticism, he found relief in the Roman Catholic Church to rebuild his faith bottom up as broken vessel bearing eternal truths, a misfit in his own words.

In Misfit Faith: Confessions of a Drunk Ex-Pastor, a memoir and revised theological point of view combined, Stellman is as sharp and raw as in his podcast series Drunk Ex-Pastors. Using numerous quotes from G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, movies and family life, the author elaborates the biblical ideas of grace perfecting nature and God's loving fatherhood. Illustrations to support Jesus Christ's position as God, son of God the Father, and part of the Trinity. Stellman explores the role of the Mosaic law, the concepts of sin, heaven and hell, redemption and restoration as children of God.

He's bold, confronts his readers with the worst and ugliest stories shared to defend the Christian faith, as well as the deeper meaning of Eucharist and importance of Christ's resurrection from the grave. Like the father running to his prodigal son, Misfit Faith is an altar call to all sheep wandering around looking for a shepherd and trying to hear his voice.
