Speidel's work is an interesting extension for those interested in Mithraism, by no means it will exploit all the interesting topoi, nor elucidate the essence of Mithraism - yet, yet! That is not the purpose here. This work will represent and attempt to prove some fascinating tenets, as following: That the Bull-slaying scene is the procession of summer constellations from Taurus to Scorpus; That Mithras is the Orion constellation, The the Myth of Orion merged with the Oriental Mithra; Recommended as a side-read to other core-texts on Mithraism.
