As a cis-gender, heterosexual, white male who desires to be an ally for trans* folk, I found Soughers book a helpful and concise treatise for the necessity of openness and inclusion in the church and a pathway for actually being an ally. Her tone is conversational and the book is a helpful resource for not only discussing trans* issues with "traditional" Christians but basic ideas of theology and Biblical studies for the layperson.
