Sometime

Romantically and emotionally this series concluded last volume. This final volume is sort of an extended denouement where they have to have a final boss battle. And since the author is bad at drawing battles, it comes off as visual gibberish for the most part. Just know that the greatest weapon is love.

Still, it's a nice if silly LGBTQ+ series overall.

I swear, the fight scenes get harder to follow every volume. But we're only here for the love-fest that comes between those scenes anyway, right? And there are plenty of romantic developments to satisfy even as you flip past all the chaos.

The series recovers from its sophomore slump by pumping up the cheesy and schlocky romance and relationship bits between fight scenes. And I had to stop reading during the climactic battle to play "Stronger Than You" from the Steven Universe soundtrack. Squee!

The more we get to know the villains, the less interesting they are. And way too much time is spent in hard-to-follow fight scenes with characters wearing very similar armor. Then even more time is wasted on a worshipful sisters relationship between two new characters that ultimately proves pointless.

This series is suddenly not giving me what I want, but I have another volume on hand to help see if it's an aberration or a trend.
