Fun, lovely gem of a book that will especially delight those who know the area and the Pt. Reyes Light.

I thought the premise was very clever - taking the brief listings of sheriff's calls published in the Point Reyes Light newspaper (a small town in Northern California which has its share of real-life quirky inhabitants) and creating short stories from the reports. The characters reappear in the various stories - some which are lighthearted, some somber, all entertaining. I liked that each story was only a few pages long - made for quick reading.
