Grant, the grumpy police captain from the first book, is the hero of this follow-up. He'd always loved his best friend's little sister, Ophelia, but the two didn't communicate well, and she'd left town for ten years. She's back because her mother is ill, and her sister has taken up with another scion of the villainous Arendell family.
Like the first book, this starts off well, but the ending is just a mess. There are some plot holes - how did Nell, Grant's niece, end up in the trunk of a car and then on the yacht? And the Bourne/Lara Croft ending was too much. There are still Arendells left, so I expect there will be another book in the series, but I think I've had enough.

This was a good thriller romance that kind of faltered at the end when Delilah made a stupid choice. Lucas is great as the grumpy hero and Delilah is fine as a heroine moving to a small town.

For a fast, cheesy romance read - this book hit the spot and more. I've gotten invested into the characters and what's going on in the story lines. Nice level of suspension, senior real sex scenes, realistic characters.

Probably my favorite out of the series. Loving the story line and characters. Wasn't able to figure it all out 'til almost the end.

Still in love with the characters and the story line but feel this one was rushed and I could have had more story.

You’re my girl Blue

Izzy aka Blue is a teacher who finds her students dad attractive but an whole nonetheless, she finds herself in some trouble and family drama and Brent steps in to protect her from his past under the guise of helping her and pretending to be her boyfriend/fiancé. This book was cute and the suspense was fun. I recommend to anyone looking for a great read with a feisty yet clumsy heroine and an alpha swoon worthy hero and a quick suspenseful read.

Enemies to Lovers

This was such a great read. Landon hates Kenna so much or so he thought he did but Kenna is his person and they have a hate-love relationship that eventually morphs into more. I loved how you could feel Kenna’s lain as Landon kept pushing her away and saying mean things to her but she never gave up because she would see glimpses of the boy she loved years ago. It had the right amount of alpha, hotness, action, and love.

I love Hunter

This book was full of twists and turned I couldn’t put it down and I loved every second of it. Hunter was an alpha sweetheart and Wendy would stand her ground against him but sometimes not her family. They had such an amazing chemistry you could actually feel it and I loved how Hunter took up for Wendy when her family would make snide remarks. I love love loved Ben he was such a sweet kid and made the book even more enjoyable. A great read over all

Warren Love

I loved this so much and Warren with his alpha broody behavior was amazing. I loved Hayley and Tara also Mrs Wilma. The suspense part had me on the edge of my seat the entire time but I loved when Warren finally decided to go all in with Hay.

Knox is a jerk that I love

I really enjoyed Knox and Audrey’s story, they started as friends then went to enemies then went to barely tolerate each other but underneath all of that they had a deep love that they never got to explore when they were younger until now.

Holy alpha hotness!! Marshal is that broody alpha that doesn't say a lot but when he does it isn't usually anything nice or friendly. He is a single father and the only thing in this world that means anything to him is her, so when it comes to his daughter he is highly protective. He meets Sadie one day while she has to draw blood from his daughter and he is not nice and critiques her methods. Then Sadie takes a job as a nanny to his daughter and things start to get interesting. They fight their attraction especially Sadie because Marshal still is rude to her but that's because he is fighting his own attraction. There are a lot of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat and the steamy moments that are super hot.

I have been dying to read Nine’s story for a while because he is so elusive and so protective of his town and those he loves, yet everyone seems to think he is a murderer or a monster. Leo and Clarissa have known each other since childhood and they both endure traumas, especially Leo is was trained to be a super soldier. We find out more about the town, Leo/Nine’s back story, Leo and Clarissa’s love story, and how they are going to fight for justice against the town and themselves. The story takes us on a mysterious journey trying to solve riddles and codes while they are trying to save Clarissa’s sister and hopefully being down the evil corporation behind so much corruption. There are a lot of twists and things you don’t see coming but there is also Clarissa and Leo trying to figure how they fit in each other’s lives again. I loved it and can’t wait for more.

I loved the mysterious Doc and his story, I knew something was up with him when we found out he was close friends with the elusive Nine when he was helping Warren with his issues, but this brooding hero had so much baggage he carried even though he should have and could have shared it with his friends. Ember comes to town and even though she is shy, clumsy, and young she works hard and can seem to be the only person that can read Doc. Doc tries to deny her for so long but then events happen and some bad people from his past come to town so to keep Ember safe he has to keep her close and by doing this she breaks down his walls he has built so high. It is an intense book with a lot of action and some chapters can be a little too detailed but overall I loved Doc and Ember's story.

I really enjoyed the story of Rex and Tabby, these two had an instant attraction yet Rex is on the run with his twin boys so he knows he has to keep himself distant from everyone. Tabby was a great character, she worked hard, stood by her grandpa even he was a tad mean and ungrateful towards her at times, and she had a kind heart. Rex was a total alpha male but he cared and loved his boys so much that he would do anything to keep them safe, I loved his loyalty, work ethic, and when he finally decided to follow through with his attraction to Tabby he loved hard. There were quite a bit of drama, ups and downs, and suspense that keeps you intrigued the whole book.

I have loved this series since book one and always knew Blake had a story that would be heartbreaking, but I didn’t expect that he would be carrying so much guilt, anger, and thinking he was the only one that could handle it all. He is a single dad that has to endure the attitude of a 16-year-old who lost her mother and firefighter as well as a welder with all that he still is loyal to his friends and the one they all depend on. Peace is a free spirit that was raised by hippies, a massage therapist, and loves to travel and experience everything. These two keep getting thrown together by fate and Peace’s curiosity but Blake has issues he needs to work out before anything can happen because he is suffering and in turn takes it out on Peace. The twists and turns, the what is happening now, the sadness in Blake, and the calm Peace bring to everyone around her makes this a great read.

This was a cute read, it was action packed, the perfect enough of drama and mystery. Miller is on the run with his twin kids he saw some horrible things that the company he was working for were doing so he was going to put a stop to them until they threatened his and his kid’s lives. He gets sent to a small town, to a very questionable lawyer who is helping him and this is where he meets Gwen. There is a lot of intense moments of will they get caught, when are they going to find them, and will Miller allow Gwen and others to help him out or is he too stubborn. Miller was a broody guy and Gwen was the cute but stubborn heroine that gave him a run for his money. I loved all the different dramas, the kids, May, the chemistry between Miller and Gwen it was the perfect combination.

I was super excited to get to read Holt's book because in the previous book he did come off as untrustworthy but I knew deep down something had caused his issues and wanted to know more about them and who would be strong enough to stand by his side. Holt has his own issues but he comes back to Heart's Edge to make it home again and to start over. People have a set prejudice against him as being a manipulator and playboy, but they don't see the real him and the redemption he is set out to find except Libby sees some things even if she doesn't want to. Not going to lie at the beginning I found Libby to be too judgmental, harsh, and so condescending that it was hard for me to connect to her even though I knew she has been used and it took me a while to adjust to her. She still was kind of rude and harsh even to her friends just because she was young and afraid to admit her feelings so I did like her just not fully. Libby could hold her own against Holt and I enjoyed their banter, but still I felt she was a little too hard on him and unapologetic about it. This series has been a fun one to read because of all the mystery and small town familial ties that keeps you intrigued that I hope we keep getting more, especially Felicity's or Alaska's. Overall it was a great read and the two main characters were entertaining to watch.

This was a fun read full of action, suspense, and adventure that I was not expecting. Valerie wakes up in a place that is unknown to her with no memory of her life at all so when she is face to face with Flint and starts to try to piece things together she just can't remember anything but some things seem off even with no memory. Flint is ex Seal and doesn't want anything to do with heling Val but he knows she is in danger and will help protect her no matter what. These two have instant chemistry and try so hard to fight it, but sometimes attraction and fate have other plans. There were a lot of twists and turns, things I did not see coming, and a lot of unexpected plans that were fantastic. Another great read in this series.

Sabrina is not having her best day at all, it’s Friday the 13th and she loses her job then is demanded to leave her seat at the park by an egotistical jerk that may be handsome but entirely rude. Magnus the rude hot guy then wants her as his executive assistant because he loves her fiery attitude and he is highly attracted to her but will never act on that, or so he thinks. Magnus is ex-military, wealthy, egotistical, jerk. He lives to torture Sabrina, but his work ethic is incredible, and he expects nothing less than perfection from everyone. Their banter is hilarious and fun to read, but how long and they keep fighting their attraction before it implodes? Mag comes off as cold hearted and at times cruel but deep down we see glimpses of his kindness and heart of gold that really cares about others. Even though Magnus is intensely attracted to Sabrina he refuses to act on his feelings because his father’s scandal almost ruined everything they ever had, but can falling in love win over scandal or will this be the end of something before it really happens? Mag has some things that tip him over the edge and at times he can take those out on Sabina which isn’t fair, but he knows when he always screws up and tries to make things better. Will one situation tip him too far to win her back or can things be reconciled for a happy ever after? I loved Mag and Sabrina’s story, loved their banter, and the storyline. Can’t wait for more!!

What happens when a sweet, animal loving, zoologist tries to save the day to only get stranded in the middle of nowhere? You get a wild ride full of adventures which is torture for someone like Grady who wants to live his quiet life with his daughters and bar to run. Willow has a heart of gold, but that kind heart has gotten her into trouble when she steals a tiger from horrible people intending to sale him, Bruce the tiger, on the black market. Now she is on the run, broken down, and has dragged good people down with her but she is terribly sorry even though her break down couldn’t have happened in a better place. Grady lives his life as quietly as possible not wanting to disrupt the life he has built for him and his daughters and now he wants to help Willow so he can go back to living in peace. When he finds out she is in way over her head he doesn’t want to but feels compelled to help her out because his attraction to her is so strong its hard for him to fight it. A crazy, intense, and fun adventure between two complete opposites who find solace in each other even if they don’t want it at first. I loved Grady because on the outside he was strong, quiet, but deep down he had a heart of gold that he could not hide forever. I loved Willow’s caring heart and how easily and comfortably she fell for Grady’s girls. A fun adventurous read and hope we get more!

Grace and her dad are on the run from some bad people and it’s taking a toll on both of them. They have nowhere to go, little money, and Grace’s father is extremely sick. Grace is trying to be strong for her dad, but she is barely holding it together and just really needs a break for once in her life and a stop at a rundown bar provides her with some temporary relief in the form of Ridge the hot guy that steps in to save them. Ridge is a former actor, ex-military guy that has a superhero complex of sorts but when he sees Grace there is something there that draws him in, and he doesn’t want to let go. Ridge was funny, smart, all alpha male, but he was lonely in a way so helping Grace and her father kept him busy and he slowly was falling for her. There were many twists and turns that we never expected and some that explained so much what both characters were going through in their life, it kept me entertained throughout the whole story and I loved every bit of it.

An intense rollercoaster ride of emotions and second chances. When Ophelia returns to her hometown she not only carries the weight of so much on her shoulders, but all the memories good and bad from the past constantly plays on a loop in her head making it even more difficult to face what is to come. Grant is such a growls bear of a man that has a heart of gold and he has never forgotten the girl that got away and now she is back can he get himself together enough to make her see he’s everything and more for her? With so much pain and heartache from the past can these two find their way back to each other or will the pressure of so much weigh them down? Such a sweet story full of twists and surprises some great and a few heartbreaking, but Grant easily stole my heart even when he knew he had to step back and give Ophelia room and time to grieve.

This was hilarious, the sexual energy of their fighting just was like "bone already". My favorite of them though is the fruit situation. I loved Wyatt, I felt for him and the fact that Lincoln was trying so hard just was hard to read at times. I loved this book though, I read most of it in one sitting. I really want to get a second book that focuses on her friend though!

Ward & Paige's story (Paige from Office Grump) He rescues her from a bad date and assumes the worst about her. She starts out on the wrong foot with him as his new E.A. Personality clashes with each other along with witty banter starts a battle of wills. The company's image needs a makeover to land a new client and grandma proposes a fake engagement between Wardhole & Paige. The stakes are high as they have to live together and work together and start falling for each other. Ward is closed off to his feelings and lies and stubbornness put everything in jeopardy. Entertaining and comedic banter and angst. Paige is a little immature.

Mag & Sabrina's story. He's a closed off CEO with issues and she's a superstitious sassy graphic artist. He has a no fraternization policy which of course gets broken. The book was funny and then slowed to boring, and then picked back up again. The secondary characters were more interesting: Brina's mom & dad, Mag's driver, & Ruby, the HR Director. Some slow burn that turns to romance with bumps along the way
