This is a collection of hundreds of Mother Goose rhymes, including several different versions of each. It was released from the Project Gutenberg library in 2007. There are cute, old-fashioned line drawings and illustrations scattered throughout the book. We are introduced to village characters such as the baker, and specific personalities such as Jack Sprat again and again. I do not think children would enjoy this book for the most part because there is a very old fashioned feeling to it, and since many of the melodies have been lost to time, they wouldn’t be catchy. This book is not only a book for for children aged 2 - 5, but collectors of Mother Goose rhymes and Anglophiles would love it.
