Cyril Smith (4) (–2014)

A self-published work, and fair play to the author for having a go, but these short stories are truly poorly written and stultifyingly boring. The first story, Ginger, was so peculiar and silly that I almost gave up but persisted through the second story, Jake, the tale of a lost dog making the long journey home. It's about the level of writing I would expect from a reasonably literate 12 year old - not funny, not exciting, not interesting, nothing. Couldn't plough on any further.
