This was an interesting book for me. Not really what I was expecting but I enjoyed it. I did go back and forth on how much I liked the characters. They were likable people. I just am still not certain if I would make friends with them. lol. The plot was good. I was very interested in how it would end. I don't want to say anything about the ending though. I did find it a slow read...the kind I like on a gloomy day. I would recommend it for rainy day reading.

Manchester 2002 and with the Commonwealth Games finished DI Jon Spicer, has his first case as lead investigator - a murder. Meanwhile his friend Tom Benwell is suffering from the pressure of his job. Spicer has no time to help his friend as another murder occurs, and another. But what links the victims.

I got this as a free or discounted e-book, Kindle edition, via Amazon.com. Mystery, history, ghost story, women's issues, mental health, empty nest syndrome. May-December marriage, child abuse, archaeology, and the supernatural.
"Sing Me To Sleep" is a well written and extraordinary work. While reading on my Kindle I do not see page numbers, only a percentage of how far I read. It stunned me to realize that this novel is only 217 pages. [a: Chris Simms|401212|Chris Simms|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1327493461p2/401212.jpg] used his words well.
When I love a book, sometimes finishing it is difficult. I did not want to leave the aura of this story. Even when it seemed the tale ended, it was thrilling to find a few more pages. I left [b: Sing Me To Sleep|6586512|Sing Me to Sleep|Angela Morrison|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1313598234s/6586512.jpg|6780029] a different person. It is not for the feint of heart.
Chris could have ended the tale of Laura, Owen and Lantern College two chapters before he did. Instead, he served desert with an already satisfying meal.
Ending this type of book can be difficult. If it was hard, Mr. Simms did not let it show. I loved the grand finale!
