The Light in Our Darkness

Thomas Edison is our light in the darkness. He was the inventor of the ever famous light bulb. Back in the old days, people were using candles, coals,gas and different type of oil lamps. Even the streets, a lamplighter has to light up every street lamps in town just to help the townspeople to see where they are going. Can you imagine how long it will take one person to light up all the street lamps before dark?

Thomas' childhood was not an extraordinary one. He was born into a poor family in Milan, Ohio. His father , Father's name, was an exiled political activist while his mother, (mother's name), was a school teacher. He had six siblings and was the youngest in the family. He was not educated much when he was young. He only went to school for a few months and was taught by his mother later on. A great deal of his education came from reading the books.… (más)
